A fearless interpreter of large-scale piano works both modern and historical, pianist Jason Hardink’s recent debut at Weill Recital Hall was lauded for its audacious programming and pianism demonstrating “abandon and remarkable clarity” and a “capacity for tenderness and grace” (Anthony Tommasini, New York Times).

Concerts during the 2022-23 season include Messiaen’s Turangalîla-Symphonie with the Utah Symphony and Music Director Thierry Fischer (May, 2023), Michael Hersch’s The Vanishing Pavilions as Part I of the U.S. premiere of his cycle, sew me into a shroud of leaves (National Sawdust, May 2023), and recitals with Utah Symphony Concertmaster Madeline Adkins (January/February, 2023).

Recording projects this season:
-A survey of solo piano works by Jeffrey Mumford for Albany Records.
-Anthony R. Green’s The Baldwin Sonata.
-Michael Hersch’s The Vanishing Pavilions.
